Rassemblement Tchernobyl Day

Arrêt du nucléaire 34 appelle à un rassemblement :
Vendredi 26 avril à 18h30 à Montpellier. Comédie — Trois Grâces.

Le 26  avril 1986 en Ukraine commençait la catastrophe industrielle la plus grave de l’histoire humaine : Explosion et destruction du réacteur n° 4 de la centrale de Tchernobyl.
Entre 500 000 et un million de « liquidateurs » seront dépêchés pour nettoyer les dégâts sur place, sécuriser la centrale et détruire les villages contaminés. La plupart ­périront des suites de leur ­mission. Une étude de l’Académie des Sciences de New York dévoile qu’un million de morts serait dû à l’accident et ses suites entre 1986 et  2004.
Aujourd’hui encore habitations et lieux publics sont laissés à l’abandon. Des milliers de personnes ayant vécu dans ou près de la zone contaminée subissent encore les conséquences sanitaires et génétiques des radiations. Les dommages sur les générations futures concerneront encore 35 000 personnes en 2060.
